Competitive

Our Competitive Program

Our Club offers a full competitive program for swimmers aged 7 to 18 years of age, offering excellent coaching, a variety of pool locations and our club’s strong team spirit and sense of community.  The majority of our Competitive athletes keep training with us through high school and many become coaches along the way.  This program is ideal for the swimmer who wants to LEARN FASTER, DEVELOP FURTHER, and CREATE LASTING FRIENDSHIPS.

Teams compete primarily at the provincial level, usually participating in 3 – 6 meets per year, depending on the age and team.  Very experienced athletes on more developed teams may also compete on HP teams at the National level in a variety of provinces.

Competitive athletes have opportunities for extra training as well as extra routines (solo, duet, combo/acrobatic and other teams).

We offer a full range of teams, based on average ‘synchro age’ (age at Dec 31, 2025), including:

  • 10/under (born in 2015 or later):  developmental and experienced
  • 11/12 (born in 2013 or 2014): developmental and experienced
  • 13-15 (born in 2010-2012): experienced and HP (depending on interest/assessment)
  • Junior (born in 2009 or earlier): experienced and HP (depending on interest/assesssment)

Note: swimmers may be placed on teams with swimmers either slightly younger or older, depending on coach assessment

  • Families will receive confirmation of registration and regular updates through the summer, including notice of September start up events.  Note: prior to the season start on September 7th, families will be asked to pay the September Startup/Training Fee of $550 to cover those costs.
  • Families will also receive information on how to complete the mandatory OAS/CAS registration and pay the applicable fee.  2024/5 fees to be confirmed by OAS
  • Families will also receive invitations and registration instructions for any applicable extra routines.
  • The season will start on Friday, Sept 7th-Sunday Sept 9th with our Welcome Back Weekend!
  • Team fees will be payable in monthly instalments once final swimmer numbers are known.  Sibling discounts and the TASC Club Bursary are available.  Please inquire at club@torontoartisticswimming.com for more details.  As a Registered Not-for Profit, fees cover team coaching, supervisory coaching, lifeguard, pool and other facility costs, and other club admin expenses.  The volunteer TASC Board works very hard to keep fees as low as possible, despite rising costs for facilities, etc.
